We believe housing is where recovery starts. Our program brings housing, employment support, mental health connections, and practical skills together to help families work toward a home of their own.

No rentParticipation and a monthly programming fee are required.
3–6 monthsMost families stay three to six months, or until stable employment is established.

LIVING AT FOUNDATIONS

A shared commitment
to moving forward.

Every family agrees to work toward employment, engage in mental health and supportive services, and save consistently toward private housing.

Understanding the programming fee

Participants do not pay rent. Each participant contributes 30% of their income each month as a programming fee. This is reinvested in food, clothing, household expenses, community activities, case management, and supportive services.

Household guidelines
  • Only immediate family may reside with a participant.
  • Outside guests are permitted only on designated special days.
  • Pets are not permitted in shared housing. Speak with staff at intake about accommodations for service and assistance animals.
  • Participants sign consents and complete a housing assessment at entry.
  • Appropriate supervision is required for children under sixteen.
Moving into your own home

When a participant secures employment and is ready to live independently, Foundations helps the family move into permanent housing by donating the first month’s rent and providing move-in support and continued services.

Giving back to the community

Participants take part in community outreach, including food and clothing giveaways, toiletry distributions, and overdose survival kits, helping connect neighbors with resources.
